I will spam you until you ask me not to

So a problem here is that the expectation is I will need to issue a “cease and desist” otherwise I am still considered a prospect.

Second problem is there is zero mention of why their offering is better so the pitch feels like a commodity play.

Third is the sales person’s use of social proof, using companies that don’t resemble my company at all. How about small(ish) software vendors like me?

Greg,

Here’s a quick list of some of the ways our corporate customers are using [company name] as an integral part of their marketing efforts:

  • Send to clients to mark major milestones in their businesses
  • Send to potential customers when they lose out on a bid (to keep them in mind for next time)
  • Send to trade show attendees prior to the show (to drive traffic to their booth)
  • Send to customers as part of their loyalty programs
  • Send as a holiday gift to large clients and important partners

I’d still love to offer you a free [company name]. If this sounds like something you are interested in, let me know!

Thanks!

P.S. Not interested in hearing from me anymore? Just say the word and I’m gone.

Greg,

I don’t mean to pester you, (and if you are not the right person to talk to at Parascript please let me know) but I think I neglected to mention in my prior emails that all [company name] gifts can be sent with Parascript branding. Would this be of interest to you?

I look forward to hearing from you.

PS If I’m bothering you, please feel free to tell me to get lost. 😉

Hi Greg,

I just wanted to make sure you got my first email (and that it didn’t just get lost in cyberspace). 😉 If you are interested in using gifting in any of your marketing campaigns, I’d still love to send you a free [company name] so you can see for yourself what Vail Resorts, Google, Uber, Hilton, Southwest Airlines and hundreds of other leading companies are raving about.

Thanks, Greg!

P.S. Again, if you’re not the right person to talk to about corporate gifts, would you kindly point me toward who is? Otherwise, please let me know if you’re simply not interested and I’ll cease and desist.

Hey, Greg,

I’m with [company name]– a [city]-based startup providing a unique and yummy gift solution for some big-name corporate clients. Many of our happiest customers are marketing executives who have found an easy and delicious way to send corporate gifts for things like customer appreciation, trade show incentives, event welcome bags and sales follow-ups. Do you use gifts as a component of any of your marketing campaigns? If so, I’d love to set you up to send a free [company name] to see how it works.

Let me know, Greg! And thanks so much…

P.S. If you are not the right person at Parascript to speak to about this, or you would just rather not hear from me, please let me know! It won’t hurt my feelings. 😉
